SERVÀNT’s creative collaboration with Christophe de Sousa and Sabrina Schilcher.
Beauty can be about joining something which in itself completes someone, somehow, somewhere.
For this year`s Lisbon Design Week, the SERVÀNT Showroom presented an original and innovative collaboration with Designer Christophe de Sousa and Creative Director Sabrina Schilcher, in what we defined as the perfect creative mix&match, and what they called a beautiful “Mélange”.
The idea to transform our Showroom with some of their tailor-made pieces, by playing with the irony of adding up bespoke furniture to the existing space (while “freeing” it up of previous layouts and opening it up to a completely different and original perspective), was a perfect and illustrative example of what an effective creative dialogue can achieve.
By playing with sculptural forms and organic shapes and textures (from bespoke sofas to tables or chairs with a 1930s and 1940s vibe reinterpreted with a contemporary twist), the installation was a singular testimony on how you can transform a space trough an eclectic and playful mix of form and function, and a Diana Vreeland “The eye has to travel” visual framework.
As the installation opened on a beautiful warm evening in Lisbon, and guests wondered around between each bespoke piece, it was clear that dialogues like these are true to SERVÀNT’s unique position to unite different creative languages into a single purpose: to produce something stunning, which lasts.
Some things tend to converge, conduct and conceive, and utterly compose something new.
What a perfect way to elaborate on what we define as a collaboration.
